Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
TRAINING PROGRAM

Ready for a fulfilling career where you make a daily impact? SUNY Sullivan’s hands-on CNA training program provides the essential knowledge and experience to confidently care for patients in various healthcare settings.
You will:
- Gain practical skills in patient care (personal hygiene, mobility, nutrition, etc.) under licensed nurse supervision.
- Benefit from classroom learning and supervised clinical rotations.
- Be qualified to sit for the state certification exam for Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs).
This program is ideal for:
- Individuals seeking a fresh start or career transition into healthcare.
- Those desiring a stable and purposeful profession.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a Sullivan County resident
- 18+ years old
- High school diploma/GED
- Able to pass background check, fingerprinting & drug test
- Valid NYS driver's license & reliable transportation
- Must be willing, ready & able to work up to 40 hours per week upon completion

Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays

Clinical Schedule (June 5–26)
Fridays: 8 a.m.–4 p.m. at Sunset Lake
On-campus classes: Tuesday–Thursday evenings
Final Class: July 13
Schedule Notes
- During clinical weeks, classes shift to Tuesday–Thursday evenings.
- After June 26, classes return to the Monday–Wednesday schedule.
FALL 2026
Class Dates: September 14–November 13
Time: 5 p.m.–9 p.m.
Days: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays
Clinical Schedule
Fridays: October 2, 9, 16, 23, 30
Tentative test dates: November 12 & 13
